The Parc Marin has the following objectives:
Protect the natural marine and coastal environments
Promote sustainable development for all sea-related activities, and in particular traditional professional fishing
Keep the public informed and educate students
Carry out experimental actions and contribute to scientific research programmes.
The scope of action of the joint association covers the marine environment and the whole stretch of the Côte Bleue, from Laurons cove in the west to Pointe des Corbières in the east.
It manages and oversees:
the Carry-le-Rouet protected marine area,
the Cap-Couronne protected marine area,
all of the artificial reefs installed in the waters of Niolon, Ensuès-la-Redonne, Carry-le-Rouet, Sausset-les-Pins and La Couronne-Carro
