Carry-le-Rouet tourist office opened in 1964 as a 'syndicat d'initiative' based within the town hall building. In 1979, its status was upgraded to become a 2-star associative Tourist Information Office and its classification later renewed in 2004. Carry-le-Rouet Tourist Information Office was later move to Espace Fernandel between 1983 and 2013.
Now it is based in Espace Roger Grange on Quai Vayssière. It was awarded Category 2 classification in 2016 and is currently participating in a quality scheme to obtain 'Qualité Tourisme' certification by the end of the year. The Tourist Information Office is set soon to move to 11-13 Route Bleue. More spacious and more central, the new premises will help the facility develop strategic growth and work towards category 1 classification.
The team has grown over the years, increasing from one to three holiday consultants, prompted by the facility's contribution to boosting the local tourist offering and the steadily rising number of visitors. In 2015, over 200,000 people visited the Tourist Information Office.
