About the coat of arms
The town's coat of arms is composed of the following elements:
The shield around which the other elements are assembled.
The mural crown, consisting of two towers.
The garland with two branches, laurel and olive or oak.
The banner with the motto 'In Carus Posito'.
The motto ' 'In Carus Posito' means 'the port near the quarry'. It was a description to geographically locate the town.
The name Carry-le-Rouet comes from the coat of arm's motto. 'Carus' meaning 'quarry' and 'rouet' meaning 'the king's vine' or 'rouët', a Provençal word for 'oak'.
A new logo for the town
The town of Carry-le-Rouet adopted a new vibrant visual identity in 2014. With its colours and pictograms, the logo represents the four seasons, the four elements (flora, water, earth and fauna) and the holiday resort's four key attractions (pine forests, sea, lighthouse and urchins).
The municipality was looking for a simple and modern logo and decided to pair it with the 'Provence – Côte Bleue' signature so the region could be more easily identified on the map.
Provence is a famous tourist destination worldwide. The new visual identity was completed with the name of the town and the Tourist Information Office logo.
