For your safety and to protect our forest heritage, access to all natural spaces is regulated from June to September.
During the summer period, find out the regulations by calling 08 11 20 13 13 (price of a local call) or visit www.bouches-du-rhone.pref.gouv.fr download the free app MYPROVENCE ENVIE DE BALADE.
Stay on signed footpaths.
Do not leave any personal belongings or waste behind.
Respect the natural flora and fauna.
Abide by the regulations in force.
Do not overestimate your physical strength.
Always find out the duration of the trail (time and distance) and the weather conditions before setting off.
Avoid walking alone or, if you do, let others know the exact route you've planned.
Always carry water, first-aid kit, IGN map and compass with you.
Essential equipment includes a backpack, proper walking shoes/boots, warm clothing, a waterproof jacket and a hat.
Remember to take something to eat and drink with you.
Take cigarette butts away with you. In summer, many forest fires are started by discarded cigarettes still alight. Be particularly vigilant.
Protecting the sea
The marine environment is fragile: encourage the people around you to respect and protect it.
Help reduce pollution and improve the water quality: never throw plastic bags or bottles from your picnics into the water or on the beach.
Protect marine biodiversity by returning any small fish you catch to the water. They will be all grown up when you come back... A minimum catch size has been set for each species.
Avoid harming the environment (taking away or introducing species, eating wildlife): be particular careful of posidonia grass. Never pull it up or let your anchor drag on the sea bed. Posidonia is actually a plant not an algae and is a source of life that oxygenates the water, is a place for laying eggs, a food source and promotes the protection of our beaches. It has been protected by law since 1988.
Certain animal species are protected on our coasts: the grouper, mother-of-pearl, the Mediterranean slipper lobster, the date mussel, sea turtles and dolphins to name a few.
Respect the regulations and the environment in force in the marine reserve.
Be a responsible citizen and pick up any waste left by others.
Protecting the land
Respect regulations concerning accessibility to the forests.
Protect the remarkable ecosystems, particularly vulnerable species and the natural heritage of the Mediterranean: do not harm the environment (pulling up, picking, taking away or introducing animal or plant species, etc.).
Always leave sites tidy and take your waste away with you; throw any waste in the bins provided.
Respect the regulations in force concerning motorised vehicle traffic.
Do not hunt outside authorised periods.
Do not smoke, and never light fires outside populated areas or designated areas.
Be a responsible citizen and pick up any waste left by others.
Remember to recycle your waste.
